When I download the service pack 2 for windows XP from microsoft.com is it the whole thing or do I have to actually connect the computer to the internet to get it or can I download it to a removeable drive?

In the net are a lot of guides for converting your actual Windows XP CD into a copy of Windows XP with SP2 applied.
Reply:you can save service pack 2 onto disk, it updates the whole operating system and takes a while. good luck
Reply:If you download the Network Installation Package, it's the entire 266 MB package and you won't be required to be online when it's installed. It can be downloaded to a removeable drive and installed on other PCs that don't have an internet connection.
