But why??? without Bill Gates genius we would NEVER be where we are today.


I trust Microsoft they cant help you enough if thing go wrong (so I am told) I have NEVER in 8 years of using a Computer had trouble with Microsoft software.


OK Microsoft may have a monopaly on the main things we use but I say "If it`s not broke DONT mend it!"

Reply:The part about us not being where we are today is true. Without the "genius" we would be in a completely different world where bugs with operating systems wouldn't exist and we would all be happy.





People who say that Microsoft haters are wrong are just nit picking. Microsoft has an unfair monopoly. Other operating systems are better than Windows.

Reply:Erm, microsoft is the worst possible producer of software and the only reason computers crash every 5 seconds. Its illegal to have one company dominate a market, open trade means more competition which means better products being produced to get sales.





Microsoft have no incentive and so produce second rate software and expect us to like it as we have no other option.





Get a grip on reality, Bill Gates is just greedy.





You;ve used microsoft software for 8 years with no problems??, you better contact the guiness book of world records, they're definitely going to be interested in that one.
Reply:When I read crass comments such as Microsoft crashes every five seconds I do wonder what pillock comes out with comments such as those.





Why should the EU tell me that I cannot have Internet explorer on my Microsoft programs because some other company might whinge, when I buy a program I want everything on it not a watered down version to keep some left EU loving pillock happy.





If there is a problem then an update is brought out to fix it, some people forget that there are programmers out just waiting to try and write software to corrupt operating systems it is such a pity that they use their talent to be so destructive why not write software for peoples benefit rather than trying put viruses on systems because it makes them feel good

The original Commission ruling basically recognises Microsoft's dominance in the operating system market and finds that Microsoft's other programs, Internet Explorer, Media Player, etc, have an uncompetitive advantage being added to the operating system automatically.





It was also unfair that Microsoft's programs had access to MS code, yet Microsoft would gouge other companies to gain access to the same code.





Fair competition is the only way markets and technology advance. Do you think IE would have changed much if it weren't for Opera or Firefox. Or Media Player advance without Winamp and Real.
