Microsoft Word on Vista?

Hey all of ya!

I have a laptop with the new Windows Vista on it. Now I'd like to install Microsoft Office on it. Can I install Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 on that computer or will it not work?

If not, what can I do? Is there a special Word for Vista?

And how many does a Microsoft Office thingie cost?

Thank you :) Linda

Microsoft Word on Vista?
I have a Windows Vista, and I believe the newest (2007) version of Microsoft Office is on it, and it should work with older versions.

However, if it is 7 years or older, it will most likely not work. I think Vista does not accept old programs or hardware, such as the scanner that I have.

A 2003 program should work fine, although just in case, try setting a restoration date to when you can reset your computer to if anything goes wrong.

All in all, it should all be fine.

I hope this helped.
Reply:I think it will most likely work.
Reply:Yes, you can run MS Office 2003 with Vista. And I would recommend it as I've upgraded to Office 2007 with Vista and I hate them both. 2003 is much more user-friendly and should work fine with your Vista.
Reply:Yes, you can install Office 2003 on Vista. It works fine but you just won't have all the extras and integration that comes with Office 2007.

Reply:Office 2003 will work on Vista. No need to purchase new, but if you wanted the best version for Vista you could buy Office 2007 which is what I have on my Vista comuter.

Office 2007 costs $150 for the Home/Student Version. But you can also download it on Microsoft.com for a free trial. Good Luck with everything!
