Microsoft Office 2008 and Microsoft Office 2003?

My computer runs on Vista and has Microsoft Office 2008, I am doing a report, the computers at my school run on XP and have Microsoft Office 2003, will there be any problems with compatibility?

Microsoft Office 2008 and Microsoft Office 2003?
Yes and no. If you save it as a 03 file, no. If you save it as an 07 files yes and no. If you download an update for 03, it will read 07 files.
Reply:should not be, they are usually all forwards and backwards compatible, meaning all versions will work with each other.
Reply:yes, but you can download a compatibility program from the office website
Reply:save as ms office 2003 file.
Reply:i have '07 and had '03 but no there's no problems
Reply:First, there is no such thing as Office 2008. Office 2007 is the latest version and it has the ability to export(save) files in Office 2003 (and other) formats.

No, Office 2003 is not "foreward" compatible. But yes, there are Office 2007 "reader" applications that can read the newer file formats.
