Running Microsoft Windows Vista IBM Thinkpad 600X?

Hello,

I have recently gained an IBM Thinkpad 600X Laptop and have purchased a new AC Adapor (Charger) and have doubled the RAM (Memory). I would like to run Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate on my laptop.

Specifications:

Intel Pentimum 3 Processor

256MB (Megabytes) RAM (3 Modules)

IBM FRU CD - ROM Drive

Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition

3.5 GB (Gigabyte) Hard Drive

I am willing to upgrade the hard drive and have found a patch to rin Microsoft Windows Vista upon 256MB of RAM.

I have two other computers that also run Microsoft Windows VIsta on a 80GB Hard Drive and 512MB RAM and a laptop on a 120GB Hard Drive with 1GB of RAM

Running Microsoft Windows Vista IBM Thinkpad 600X?
you need at least 15 gig hard drive for vista, and then more for other programs, documents etc.

unless you use vista home basic, 256mb is just not enough RAM to run Vista - buy upgrades from http://crucial.com/uk/
Reply:first of all the performance will be very low when using vista ...

and by time after u install all the drivers and softwares

it will get more slow ... and even may take a few mins to

start the desktop at the start of ur pc ... and with the

dx 10 and vista unsupported graphic card many of

the graphic hungry and vista aero needed options

in the os will be unable to start such as even movie

maker , dvd maker , windows media center etc ...
