Microsoft Publisher opens my Word document instead of Microsoft Word?

How can I change the default on my Microsoft word docs so when I open them they do not open in Publisher? I created them on Microsoft Word not Publisher!

Right click on the document ment then look for "Open With......" You should see a list of programs for it. If word isn't in that list look for it with that "choose program" tab. Hope that solves your problem
Reply:right click on your Word file %26gt;%26gt; Properties %26gt;%26gt; "Change" (located beside "Open With") %26gt;%26gt; and choose Word as the program you want to open them with.





Now all your ".doc" files will open with Word!!
Reply:Hold the shift key pressed and right click on any word document.You would see the "Open with" option in the menu.Click on "Open with"(remember its different from Open option). , you would see a window/dialog box giving you a list of programs from which you could choose (click on choose program if you see that option) , select microsft word from the list of programs and also check the checkbox below which reads "always use the selected program to open this kind of file"





This would ensure that all word documents are opened using Microsoft word in the future.
