Microsoft word will not work with firefox?

soemebody said if your internet explorer does not work you could uninstall it and use firefox. But just to let you know, if you use firefox microsoft word will not work, and you may experience problems with other microsoft office applications. I did this and ended up having to uninstall firefox, then I could not get the internet and a system restore would not bring IE back, so I had to clear my hard drive and reinstall windows. So if you need microsoft word do not use firefox.

apparently you did something wrong. MS word has nothing to do with the browsers. they have no way of even conflicting since they are two separate programs that do totally different things. also if you had IE problems, all you had to do is go into the add/remove programs, select delete and then a window comes up with the repair option. this was your solution.

That information is completely false. I am using Firefox now and use word on a daily basis.
Reply:What a crock of bull. You must have really screwed things up in your OS and put the blame on Firefox. I've been using FireFox, Mozilla, Netscape (all open source code browsers) for years with absolutely no problems. You're much better off using these than IE which is probably one of the primary reasons why viruses spread on the net.
