I need help with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint?

I bought a Microsoft Office 2007 book in college........because I can't find the old copy, such as Microsoft Office 2003 or 2004. I don't have Microsoft Office 2007, such as Word 2007, Excel 2007, and PowerPoint 2007. I wonder if I can do the assignments in Microsoft Word 2003, Microsoft Excel 2003, and Microsoft PowerPoint 2003. What should I do? Should I just fail my class?

Microsoft Word, Excel and powerpoint 2007 are mostly exactly the same as 2003 and 2004 etc. I don't understand why you would fail a class just because you have a earlier version of a program?
Reply:you can still use that book and besides since your having an updated version, you have the advantage. There are some changes in office 2007 such as the file format, as you noticed instead of .doc, .xls..it will now be .docx or .xlsx in office 2007 wherein if you have tried saving it in the said format you can't open in the ealier version of office unless saving it as office 2003 or lower format.
