Microsoft Outlook 2007 help please!!?

Ok I just got a laptop and microsoft outlook 2007. I can receive messages but I cant send. I checked with my internet service and they did everything they could. I would like to avoid talking to Microsoft because they made me do a couple of things on my computer already that gave me more issues than not. So anyway I'm finally back on line. I checked the firewall setting and i disabled it...and I have a great connection btw. So any idea why I still cant send?? And if you do have a solution please please tell me how to get there. I mean dont just say "yeah it's in Plano Texas" with out giving me direction on how to get there. thanks. Oh and I already tried microsoft outlook support online and that didnt work.

Microsoft Outlook 2007 help please!!?
Microsoft will help if there is an application issue, but this is a settings issue. I would call your ISP and have them assist you with your problem.

There are too many variables to accurately assist you in setting up your email with your provider and therefore the ISP is the best source for your issue. HOWEVER, my guess would be that you need to set up your email account with authentication on your outgoing server connection.

My guess is that either your outgoing server settings are incorrect, or your anti-virus program is preventing you from sending them. Can you reply to email?

A common mistake: For Servers setting (Server tab), -%26gt; Account Name make sure that you use the full email address not just the first part of the email address - for example: janedoe@comentum.com and not just "janedoe".
