It expired on July 31, 2005 and I can no longer use it.

But when ever I open the file a box pops up and says

"Your copy of the microsoft standard edition 2003 trial

the product is unavailable until you convert to the full

product.

To convert to the full product you'll need a valid 25 character-character product key . Click the convert button to begin the conversion process now."

I have looked at the back of my pc and found the conversion number. Although, It does not let me.

important questions needed to be answered:

*Is this conversion process costing me money too??

* HELP!

Microsoft word 2003 do I have to buy?
If you have a conversion number then you will need to call Microsoft and give them the key so they can unlock it for you or give you the correct key that works since yours is not working.

If the nubmer you have is for another version of Office or something, then it won't work and likely MS would just cough and laugh at the request for it to be converted.

If you want to continue to use Word 2003 then i would give them a call and see if they can help you, or you will need to try using a different program. There are free word processors out there, the best being OpenOffice. If you search OpenOffice on Google you will be able to find it and download it free and it should open most word documents.

Hope that helps

Good luck!
Reply:Sad to say, but that number on the back of your computer is NOT the number you need for Word (really, Office 2003 -- which is why those other Office programs have the same problem). That's for Windows XP, and won't work for Office.

Microsoft Works isn't part of Office, so it, umm, works. And yes, compared to Word, it's pretty lame.

Sorry.
Reply:You must pay Microsoft for the full licence for ALL the Office programs before you can use them.
Reply:use open office just google it

You have to pay to activate your long-expired trial software.
